Will These Wheels Fit?

I have a 68 Mustang coupe with drum brakes. I picked up a set of custom chrome wheels at a great price and wonder if they will fit. It looks like they will but not sure. They are 5 spoke chrome 17" x 9" with 6" backspace.

My currnt wheels are same except 7.5" or 8" I think and not sure about the backspace becaause they are on the car. Best I can measure on car is about 4" backspace.

I bought the 9" for spares just in case since I got them at such a great price, all 4 with 235x55 tires on them. My tires on the car now are 245x45 rear & 245x35 front will they fit the 9" wheels? A tire chart I found says they will.

6" of backspacing? you will need a 2" thick spacer to get the wheel to clear.

my 17x9 in rear have 5.5" bs, .... so your not far off there. the front you might need spacers, put them on and find out !

tires look OK to me (i.e. won't hit the fender lip)
rims, it is hard to tell without measuring (there is interferrence with upper A arm)
