How Wide Of A Tire On A 18x9 Wheel?

I agree, maybe even a 275. It really depends on the brand of tire, as they are a little different from brand to brand.

i have a 285 on my 18x9, it fits fine, there is a little tire roll when cornering HARD but other than that its fine. i could have fit a 300 or 310 on there with a lot of bulge

I know nitto 315 drag radials go on 9 inch wheels just fine. Have a couple buddies who have ran them for years with good looks and performance.

Hmm interesting about the nittos. I knew they ran narrow but not so much as putting a 315 on a 9" wheel. Just planning ahead for what tires I want to put on. I'm getting a set of 18's even if they don't get put on the car this year. I might wait until It gets new paint before I actually put the new wheels on when I do get them

Just for reference, I had Sumitomo 315's on a 10.5" wheel on my '95, and they had a slight bulge. I'd be interested to see how much of a bulge those nittos have on a 9" wheel.

I run 315 Nitto's on my 10.5" rims now and they sit pretty flush with the rim on the wheel so I know they could be on a more narrow tire. Not even sure I would put nitto's on the new wheel just trying to figure out how wide I can go for the most part. Was thinking of going with some BF Goodrich DR's for something different.

Depends on the brand to be honest. I have 17x9's in front and I was running a 275 from Sumitoto and it sat flush and put a set of Michelin Pilots that are 285 and it bulges too much for me.

a little buldge looks good, i have 315s on a 10 inch rim look awsome, but they probably would be as wide as a 295 on the same rim because it sucks the tire in

Both of those pictures appear to be with 17" rims. It's going to be different with an 18" diameter rim.

Looks good. I might have to rethink the 315's on my 17x10's when I wear out the 275's they installed on the rims when I bought them.

315's will deff fit on a 17X10 rim. I run the Nitto 315's on my Cobra R wheels they are 17X1o.5 in the rear.
