My interior refresh build thread

they look awesome. For those of us wanting to do it ourselves, what book are you talking about? and what is muslin?

Here is one of the books. http://www.amazon.com/dp/1931128006/?tag=stangnet-20
The other was called Custom Automotive Interiors by the same author, but it may be too old to list.

Muslin is a type of material. My aunt said it was like a cheese cloth. Very thin and used to keep your thread from pulling back through the foam. Basically when you pull your old covers off you will see what I am talking about. It will only be on those pieces that have the foam on them.

no i understand about the interior takes time and all my car is already under and i have my interior covers and everything i was just koing the idea of how much you really saved by doing it yourself i guess its something you have over other guys to where you can actually say that you made it yourself

Over the past week/weekend I put the interior back in my car. With the exception of a couple trim pieces that I need to add more color to, it is all installed and bolted down.

I wish I had true before and after shots that I could put together, I will do the best with what I have.

This is with no dash and the carpet in. I noticed that the previous owner cut open the heater box so I had to replace it.

I have the dash sitting in and attempted the steering column install

The dash and console are in, but this is really messy.

This was a lot more work than I had anticipated, but I was able to drive the car. I so miss driving this car. Next up will be the door panels.
