A/c Problem

like the title says its an ac problem. the ac just stoped working, worked fine but then fan gave out. any ideas on how to fix it without buying new fan motor or is just better to replace the whole deal.

Inside or outside fan?

Regardless, it seems easy to test the fan by running directly from a 12 volt source. If the fan does not run, then the motor is bad. If it does run, more tests are needed. But the next thing to test would be the blower ballast resister.

how exactly do I test it out.

I think you are talking about the blower moter, turn you temp control to hot and see if it blows any air.


remove blower motor, attack 2 scrap wires to your battery, strike the wires on the removed blower motor, if your motor turns its not the problem.
