How Do I Build This Exhaust?

Hey all,

SO for my V6, I will most likely be buying the x-pipe off an s197 GT and I need to pick the mufflers I want to go with it.

I think that this exhaust: is the best I have heard on a V6. The second half of the video at least. Now I know he uses Borla stingers from the axle back, but when he says Borla mids, what would I buy for that??? And how would an x-pipe sound like in comparison to H?

Thanks!

The basic difference between an H pipe and an X - is considerable - I have an off road H pipe - that's sort of the old school hot rodded version of exhaust its a deeper rumble / more muscle - if you go X-pipe - your going to get alot of that 'ricer' raspy popping sound - you have to decide if you want off road ( no cats ( but you will need a tuner) / or w/O2 sensors / hi flow cats no tune- the mid pipe is your X or H pipe - as for the mufflers - there's axle backs and then like 40 flowmasters - I have cherry bombs - but they are just 'like' 40 flows - what i did is weld in my mufflers 1st - (no tune) .....then put on the shortie headers (no tune) - then bought a Bullett CAI and the tuner combo (saved $) + an off road H pipe (saved the old one for emmisions ) and then installed all that together - ...then got crazy w/the mutha thumpers -

Your car is incredible!!!! What should I do, x or h, on a V6 to stay away from angry lawnmower?

thanks! - I would just search on u tube X vs. H for the differences - I personally like the rumble of the H pipe - but other guys like the X - to me the X sounds like a speed boat - but it's cool - I've heard it on some V-8 mustangs....the good thing is they are about $225 - go with your 'gut' - and if you really hate it ....sell it on craigs list or ebay - and get the opposite -
