Upr Suspension

boostfrk, did you go with the standard ones? I'm stuck on whether or not to go with the adjustables? Their pro street ones have poly adj. uppers and double adjustable lowers with poly on the axle side and heim joint on the chassis side. Don't know that I need all that. Wondering if they would do a package with standard lowers and adj. uppers?

Fun street car with an emphasis on straight line performance. It's not a race car, but I want to do well at the track. It's not my primary or daily driver, but I dont want to handle like a basket case when I take the wife and kids out in it. I want to start with the suspension before I do any major motor mods. I've installed full length UPR subframes, lower torque boxes, and Comp. Eng. adj. rear shocks.

Right now its a stock motor, smog deleted, shortys, h-pipe, 73mm, SPT1 valve body and hopefully 4.10's in a few days. I have stock piled iron GT40's, and an Explorer intake. Those will get installed when I decide if I'm going to change the cam or not. I plan on a power adder, but that's going to be a while and I haven't decided on Nitrous or Blower.

I'd like to do the suspension once, I was thinking UPR standard lowers and adj. uppers? What do you think? Are the pro-street too radical?

I'd run the non adjustable lowers with bushings and adjustable uppers with bushings.... I have the solid jointed lowers and radius arm uppers and it's a rough ride

You need to hurry up and make up your mind! Gears in a few days eh??? I've decided the 3.73's have to go, let me know what you pay to have them done.

Joe :)

I went with the standard upper and lower. This is a project/toy car for me and just a weekend cruiser, so I honestly didn't feel the adjustable ones were necessary for me.

I like having the adjustabilty on all arms for a race car but on a street car you can get away with just an adj upper. I don't find the fully adj pro series too loud on the street.

Id go poly on solid lowers and the pro upper with heim joint and poly or rubber housing bushings.

RangerJoe, yea I'm hoping to get the gear this weekend...car is a turd! As far as installed...whenever I can get it to Gary. I also need a locker rebuild kit and a girdle. Staying with 28's for now.

Thanks this is a toy/project car also, I've changed my mind on this soooo many times! I think I have decided on the fixed lowers with adj. uppers. All poly.

Snakedoc- I sent you a PM with my contact info, but Rick @ RNH is a good UPR dealer. Either of us will be happy to help you.

I'd really have to have a conversation with you to determine whether our Pro Street or Pro Series suspension would be better for you. I've street driven on our race (Pro Series) setup, and it doesn't bother me at all. But I'd have to go over a few things with you to get a better sense for whether or not you would tolerate a race style setup on the street. Either setup works well, but the Pro Series setup offers the best grip.

Thanks for all of the positive comments everyone.
