Duncan's 5.0 Convertible Progress Thread

New progress. I finished up a five lug conversion with a rear differential rebuild and am presently install new carpet and sound deadening.

The donor car was an 04' V6. She has one last good deed to do. :flag: The parts I source from the salvage yard cost a total of $143.53 with tax. Not pictured was the North Racecars (bracket, axles and cables kit), the 99+ V6brake booster, Willwood proportioning valve, SS brake lines, Carbon fiber trac-lok rebuild kit. There is probably more I am forgetting but oh well.

Flaring the rear brake lines for the new calipers. The North Racecar hardware is made for 94-95 cars so if you do this conversion you will NEED to use the flare nuts from the donor car.

Work table was too awkward to rebuild the diff on, so guess what was the perfect height. The garbage can.

The interior carpet and sound deadening (in progess).

Took the carpet out and found some surface rust under both seats. :nonono: Btw the water is from my spilled drink.

A wire-wheel and some primer and paint took care of the rust.

The sound deadening completed in the cabin. It is under the rear seat also.

Installed a double din radio. Took some trimming of the install bracket and the removal of the to bolts on the transmission hump to get it in there. I also went ahead and bypassed the stock speaker wiring because the stock wiring is old and not very good.
Headunit is Pioneer AppRadio 2 if you guys are interested.
