Lower Control Arm/bushings Concern?

Good Point!..... So, now that has me thinking the CalTrac style would amplify the issue while braking, if adjusted with pre-load?.... And I've heard that the Fixed bar, "Traction Master" design can cause bind, because it's mimicking a four bar set-up using your springs as two of the four links?... So are the "CalTracs" noisy when installed in a Neutral position?

Oh... and Sorry horseballz for getting Off- Topic!

Gene`s a prety cool guy ,he understands that us buzzard baits tend to ramble off topic some times and drift in and out of reality occasionaly,why i rember one time zzzzzzz

actually the caltrac design does prevent spring wrap in both directions with less possible binding than the under ride traction bars.

if you really want to have some fun, and eliminate all binding between the traction bars and the leaf springs, go with an under ride bar that mounts solidly to the spring at the axle, add a third link at the top of the axle near the center, and end the binding with these;

these will allow the axle housing to float on the springs preventing spring wrap as the springs now just support the car rather than trying to do several jobs at once.

they work fantastic in corners. remember they eliminate suspension binding.
my 65 drag car is set up with a floater rear end ,if you would like to go one beter do away with the rear shackles and weld in spring sliders they do away with any sway that can occur with shackles ,the spring simply slide back and forth in the slider,they have bearings for smoothe action ,i think summit carries them as well ,or speedway

Ya... Sliders are cool! I'm familiar with the Afco, but hadn't seen the Speedway design until now. Looks to be a little stouter! I just need to decide how far I want to take this.... There's so many neat designs of suspension up-grades available from people like Hiedts, T.C.I., Maier, Griggs, etc..... Or stay with an Improved Factory style suspension....... What to do, What to do? It seems that the CalTracs would be the easiest solution at this time, because they don't alter anything in their installation. That way I won't have to Undo anything at a later date, if I decide to make some Serious changes....
