$2500 is pocket change... keep the car and do something else. FWIW, cancelling cable TV would save you $50/month then bringing lunch to work everyday instead of going out to eat would save you another $100/month minimum. $150/month in savings = $1800/year in extra money.

I hate minivans from the depths of my soul and can't stand the people who drive them. Don't do it...

 I've weighed my options and I think it is best to let the mustang go at this point.. About a month ago, while at work, the car had a semi roll into it, and damage the tail light, bumper cover, and fender. I finally got the insurance check, and with that plus what I figure I can get selling it I will pretty much have my money back from what I paid for it about 3 years ago. (Minus parts I have put into it - ball joints, shocks struts, etc..) Also, if I keep it, it will keep eating monies for insurance and upkeep and whatnot... (As now we have three vehicles, and I suppose we don't really need three vehicles..) That being said, I'm def. not going to give it away. If I can't get what I want out of it, it will stay..

As far as momma wanting a van.. I think everyone here that is married knows that, if mamma aint happy, aint no body happy.

I think im more bummed I'll have to get rid of our expedition too.

I know what you're saying about the wife wanting one, but seriously man minivans are just awful vehicles. Why not get an Edge, Flex, Pacifica, Explorer, or something else along those lines. They're much better looking, drive better, and aren't ghey.

I'm so glad my wife hates minivans... she'd rather shove three kids in the back seat of her Charger than ever buy one of those got awful things.

With the third (and final!) kid on the way, the minivan fits the bill the best with three car seats and getting the kids into those seats.. We plan on getting one decked out with all the toys so the kiddos are entertained, and we can keep our sanity. On the dodge vans, there is an option for two rows of rear dvd players that can play different movies at the same time. (!) Back in my day we were lucky to get seat belts!

-- I keep telling her we should get a conversion van, and she keeps telling me no..

She currently drives a Grand Marquis, which I will take over when the stang sells, and I would guess there is more room in that then the vehicles you listed (Minus the flex). With the flex, im not sure how you'd get in the back row with car seats in the middle rows? Haven't checked into them that much though..

Yea, Edge is out, but the Pacifica's have middle row bucket seats and a pair of rear seats... my mom has one and it is quite nice. My dad just bought a '13 Explorer and it has a middle row bench, and a rear bench. The seats fold forward very easily.

I'm kind'a in the same circumstance, but there is so much cash tied in my Mustang 00' gt its not funny, the mods are not important what was important is the the short block was overhauled then the heads were re-worked, so 4 grand ( not mentioning the suspensions) is tied up in the engine, I'm positive I'm never gonna see that cash again w/selling. Selling my car would be a severe loss.

Take the insurance and tags off the car (no car tax if no tags) give the tags back, till the car pays for itself again.

Was not expecting a kid when all those things were done to my vehicle.

I'm regretting taking out my backseat.

P.s. Finally found something to hand my son down something to cherish.

Luckily I didn't go overboard with mods to my car. I just did general fixxer up stuff in the spring(s) before I would get the car out to start driving it. If I keep it, and keep spending on it then I'll be in the same boat of wayy to much money in it.

Just so you know, you can easily fit 2 carseats in the back of a mustang.. (If it has a backseat!) My girls love riding in it.

This is my oldest daughter helping me with the fog light wiring.

jrp1588 Don't buy a Charger... wife and I have an '06 R/T and it's in the shop every few months for suspension work, the rear window motors have gone out three times, and overall everything about the car is cheap, cheap, cheap. If you need a sporty sedan I'd look at a BMW, if you need a reliable sedan hauler for cheap I'd look at the Chevy Impala... they're rental car plain but they are reliable as ever.

I've been there and done the whole 3 kid thing, I have 3 boys 15-10-9, Had the Minivan and refused to drive it, finally got her to sell it and bought a Navigator, now my problem is college and cars, so although I feel the pain I also see the older they get the more expensive they get............................it's a no win situation..............LOL

You must have lemon then , my buddies modded 07 Charger R/T never has had problems and he drives it hard everyday. Only thing he said he doesn't care for is the cheap plastic for the interior but otherwise he loves it.

03_TrueBlue_GT Doubt it... every front end component has been replaced at least twice in the last 2 years of owning it. My dad had an 05 Magnum R/T and my brother has an 05 300C (both have the 5.7 V-8) and same thing for them... cars were in the shop at least once a quarter for front end problems.

Prior to the LX cars the LH cars had a problem with their steering rack failing every 60-70K miles... Chrysler builds chitty cars that look good.
