Is This A Common Issue?

Ok guys. I bought a coupe a little over month ago. It's got a mildly built 306 with Trick Flow everything up top. About a week or so, it started having a god awful noise. Thought had a bad or shot bearing already and started researching engine swaps for a 2V or 3V swap. After talking to a couple buddies, we have concluded, it's not a bearing, rather a leak of some sort. Without shooting any starting fluid or anything yet, I think it's coming from the upper and lower intakes. Now when I got the car, there was a new gasket in the trunk, and I'm assuming the PO had this issue, just failed to tell me about it. Now I'm can't get ahold of him, and am hoping this is the case.

Has anyone else had this noise? It seems like an air sucking noise coming from under the upper intake manifold, but can't pinpoint it just yet as I'm trying to let apinched nerve in my back heal.

My bro had this same thing happen.. I'd put my money on a leaking lower intake.. That was his problem..spray carb cleaner around the lower intake. If the rpm goes up, that's your problem.
