Forced Induction Buying A Vortech Kit Have Questions

Got behind on this thread but I will tell you that at 375rwhp, the Walbro 255 was falling behind. I put in bigger lines and even sent my entire canister with pump back to Walbro for flow analysis. It simply fell behind in pressure and this was the pump that came with the original kit back in 2000. You make the call but I wouldn't go with anything smaller than the Focus 340lph pump.

Unless I'm badly fooled, the SVT Focus pump is a 255 lph. I'm only making 340 rwhp on the dyno, but my trap speed indicates that I'm making every bit of 400 rwhp through an automatic. I'm turning mine out to 6500 rpm and it isn't running lean a bit (actually got it tuned a little rich to around 11.6 without any meth). I also know of 2 other guys making over 400 rwhp through 5-speeds turning 6500 rpm on SVT Focus pumps.

Are you using an fmu and tiny injectors? I run a single 255L Walboro along with a fuel pump voltage regulator, and make WELL over 400 rwhp. I would suggest that you have other issues. Weak pump, a voltage drop, inadequate fuel rails, or a regulator on a non-return style fuel system that is choking off flow.
