I'm looking at carbs to get my car running again finally. I am only running 9.5:1 cr and will boost in the future. I was wondering if I got a good blow-thru carb if it would work N/A until I saved up enough money to get the blower, or turbo?

No man,.......carburetors around here are too much of a "mystery" for the general populace, doubt you'll get any qualified answers.

I was considering your very same question several years ago. I had amassed every part to twin turbocharge the current 4.6 I am running in my car back then, (Forged rotating assy, two holset HX 35's Tial wategates, a carbed intake and MSD timing computer pkg, a snow cooler water meth system, AND A Quick Fuel Q Ban 750 Blow through carb.) I was considering running the carb N/A only if I decided to add the T/C system after I got it running for the sake of time, and wanting to be sure that the entire unorthodox combination would even run on it's own, before forcing it to breathe air.

Contact Quick Fuel. They make a really nice billet blow through carb (Q Ban 750). If there is anybody that can answer your question w/o guessing,...it's them.

Mike, have you completely ditched the twin turbo idea now that you are going the Weber direction?

I had all of that stuff in 09-10 Scott,..slated to go on the Studebaker Street rod project. I bailed on it& sold it when I couldn't get it all to fit on that car ( Studebakers have really low hoods)
This is how I built the current car considering my recent financial struggles in '11. All of the stuff that makes up the brunt of the current car was sitting on shelves ( some from as far away as '07) all through the garage. I did have all of the hot rod turbo stuff though,... coulda probably kept up w/ you had I kept it.:nonono:
