OK SO I GOT A AMAZING DEAL ON A GOOD CONDITION S TRIM (IMPULSE BUY). THE THING IS MY 347 IS AT 11:1 COMPRESSION. DEFINATELY NOT AN IDEAL COMPRESSION FOR BOOST. SO WHAT DO I DO? THROW THE S TRIM ON AND HOPE MY TUNER CAN MAKE IT WORK WITH A NEW BURNT CHIP? WILL 93 PUMP GAS EVEN BE ABLE TO SUPPORT IT? ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE RUNNING 11:1 WITH A BLOWER? IF I DO GO THROUGH WITH PUTTING THE BLOWER ON I ONLY PLAN ON MAKING ENOUGH BOOST TO KEEP ME RIGHT AROUND 500RWHP. IF I HAVE MY TUNER "DETUNE" IT TO THAT POWER LEVEL WILL IT BE SAFER?

First, take capslock off, it makes it difficult to read. And to answer your question, i would assume a tuner would be able to safely "detune" it to keep it safe. However.....if you dont end up using it i know somebody that might just want it ;)

Detonation is going to be your enemy. At that compression, you're probably going to be limited to 6-7 psi. Methanol injection can help the situation to possibly let you run more boost and ward off detonation.

Isnt 6-7 psi pretty much what its advertised as? Ive been wanting to put one on mine and i liked the low boost because i was worried about doing some damage. I think he will be alright on pump gas, but like you said methanol would help

I think you're right. I'm honestly not sure what the stock V3's come pullied for these days. He said his was used, so it might have a different pully setup. I was running 14psi when I had my V2 (not 11:1 comp though). The trans went before the block did.

it will make killer power if you run meth injection or run E85... but on straight 93 i wouldnt do it.

the window you have for things to go gets real big and the window to have the tune in a good gets REAL small
