hey guys i picked a 89 notchback original 5.0 car a few months back completely stock (alteast it looked that way). Anyways the back end of the car sat really high which i thought was a little strange but it did have some bigger tires in the back so i figured that was it...so i bought eibach lowering springs and sve upper and lower control arms and it lowered it but still a little high in the back soo i got rid of the wheels and tires and put ponys on with 4 equal sized tires and still high in the back. I cant figure it out? Any ideas?

Eibach springs are barely shorter than stock in the rear, and if you don't get adjustable LCA's, you'll end up cutting coils off the springs, then they'll be too stiff, and you think lowering cars sucks. Get DirectTV. I prefer stock rears with adjustable LCA's, or trim a coil off the top of the stockers.

Did you replace the rear shocks?
You would have noticed air shocks while doing all that work.
Could it have taller than stock shocks?
They also make shock extensions that could lengthen stock shocks as well.
Has a previous owner installed any non-stock snubbers on the rear end, or added height to stock ones?

Were there any 'thicker than stock' spacers or spring isolators that you may have reused or accidentally left in place?

Just throwing out some ideas...

Also have to remember, when it comes to off the shelf parts like lowering springs, that they are designed to lower the entire family of Fox cars into a certain broadly acceptable range. Your notch is going to lower the front about the same amount as most any other Fox, BUT, the rear of your car is the lightest of all possible cars in the Fox group, so you will get the least lowering out back.
