Well my Aod-e is taking a nose dive for the worst. Searching through the yards I found a 94 GT manual ECU, Pedal assembly, trans harness. My question? is if this harness is usable?

My confussion, is when I compare to the ebay pics, I haven't stripped all of the black plastic shield off. But, is that white connection necessary? can I use the stock AOD-e white connection +along+
with the harness above?

Below is what ebay sells as the transmission harness (notice no white connection)

th

BTW, I got the harness and lower boot free of charge, ECM for $15 and pedal assem for $15?

94-95 (and later years, i think) 6 Cylinder AODE and T5 transmission wiring harnesses have integrated O2 wiring.

94-95 5.0 have a separate O2 harness.

My picture, 94-95 5.0 T5 harness.

As for the wiring of your harness, im not sure.
Ive never rewired an aode or 6 cylinder harness for use on the 5.0 T5.

Others have, so im sure a search will yield the info you neeed.

I found those posts (using aode harness rewiring, etc) a couple days ago. What also troubles me is that besides having the Mustang gt imprint on the back bumper (the car I pulled the harness out of), and also having an original cut on the shifter opening (it was neatlly cut, with all for bolt holes), the harness when pulled out was attached with those plastic push pins to a bracket and other wires.

heres the pic of the ecm. I guess the harness is a lost cause.

In a pinch, you can re-purpose the AODE harness to function with the T5. You need to bridge the starter wiring and rig up a back-up light switch connector (looks like it might be ok in that first pic - can't really see the condition of the wires where they meet the shell).

The cruise control switches are different IIRC. Other stuff might be off as well, but the CC thing is what I remember.

Is there a list of what is compatible with a 94-95 5 litter T5's? I found a guy selling his for $200 dollars (94-95 5.0 litter spec T5) but im wondering if a different bellhouse will work if I install the transmission while leaving the longer input shaft in?

As far as i know, only a 94-95 gt/cobra bell housing will work with that input shaft.

i believe I've read that the 94-04(?) 6 cylinder t5 bell can be used, with some modifications, not entirely sure About that though.

Ok, new details and questions on my swap. Im going for the 94 95 t5 swap, I now have the T4M0 Ecu, the correct transmission harness, clutch cable used, Correct pedals, and the 5.0 Bell housing should be coming in the mail with the dust shield, clutch fork and clutch fork cover and bolts. post some new pictures of the correct stuff and not the 4.6 a little later.

so my question now is what manufacturer makes the King Cobra clutches kits?
Autozone sales the flywheel for $56 it's a 13.286 diameter, 157 ring gear tooth fly wheel. Will this work? it's made by brute force, it just seems like a good deal since everyone else wants about 70 dollars for a new one.
