2002 gt intake has small coolant leak in the gasket at the base where the aluminum an plastic meet under the thermostat. It appears the plastic is bolted to the the aluminum from under neath. Is this gasket available and can it be replaced.

No gasket that I know of. New intake time. Make sure and buy a FRPP one. Stay away from the dorman.

The thermostat housing is likely cracked. It's an extremely common problem on these intakes.

There was a class action suite in regards to the issue several years back. You can try to replace the intake gasket if you'd like, but it's a pretty sure bet the gasket isn't your problem. To make it even more complicated, there's not a gasket for just the thermostat housing, but rather the entire driver's side of the intake manifold.

A new intake is about $190 plus shipping. Summit Racing and a host of other Mustang shops keep them in stock. ONLY replace it with a Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP) intake and Ford gaskets.

Cracked cross overs are an extremely common problems on npi cars with plastic cross overs but not on the aluminum cross overs.

99-mid 01 cars have the same plastic crossover. It's unlikely his is a plastic crossover intake, seeing as it's an '02. But it's also not unheard of for an aluminum one to crack.
