Wheel hits fender wall

The rims are not even in question, with that amount of rear dis-alignment, there is deff something bent, if not more than one thing. First it looks like a harsh curb, and if that drivers fender is original, I would be looking at the A-arm first, then considering replacing the k-member. There is something very wrong that is bent, and I doubt if it is a spindle, but more of a a-arm or k-member at the a-arm bushings area. From what I remember, the 2.3 and the 5.0 setups are of a different length, so not so much interchangeable. I would suggest going ahead and getting an aftermarket front end setup.
Well that's a loss at the 5.0 and 2.3 set ups differing. I plan to move on with replacing the a arms (after eye balling it for damage). I'm hoping the K member is intact still and not really bent since that's a bit too much of a project for a beginner like myself.

Whether or not I go aftermarket is all in the price since I really am on a super tight budget between high school and other things.
If new/used A arms fix it, then we're in business, if it's worse, well, I might have to look to sell the good ole' thing as I'm not in the best situation for throwing money at a project car:/

Thanks

I'd take it to a shop, but again, money is the big thing.

how about just measure center line of the rear tire to the centerline of the front tire and have some one else who has an unwrecked one do the same.

Take given good length say 100" measure yours from the middle of the back tire to the front... Yours is say 97" that will tell you if you have an issue in the front suspension. I'd measure mine but my rear is in front of it right now

Umm, there is a lot of foxbody owners here...:)
You sure? where? :D
I guess this could work. :p

ok ok, not to sound stupid, by how would measuring the back tire tell me about my front suspension:p
Maybe I'm reading what you're saying wrong or it's over my head.

you take your rear tire... a known given point... measure to a unknown point aka your front tire.
im assuming there is no issues with the back tires.
if yours comes out a few inches shorter then a known good car you have an issue in the suspension. if you come out the same length you have an issue with some cheap after market fenders.

now you're speaking my language:D I gotcha, it 'could' be possible since they did change the passenger fender for one without the attenna hole.
Any volunteers on measuring?
and thanks

My '87 is right at 99-100 inches from center of center cap to center of center cap, I don't have anyone to help me hold the end of the tape measure, so I am not sure on an exact measurement, but that is close.

I'm about to go get pictures, the camera's battery is charging. I tried to get measurements but it really is hard to get exact with one person. They both came out varying by a lot so I'm doing that again later.

I tried to look for any bends in the a arms and k member but it wasn't obvious to me.

@tca I'm coming up on my 500th;)

it is ****ible the k member is in just a hair off? Not sure if theres any room the way it bolts up though. I dont see anything that stands out other than the oil buildup
Lolololol. If it were just a 'hair' I don't think it'd be such an issue in drive ability.
Yes...yes there is quite a lot of oil everywhere.

side story: One day in the early months I was screwing with it and turned it off and on frequently. Well I left it to run for 10 minutes while I got a drink and I came back and there was oil on the roof of the hood and on the valve cover. I freaked and shut the car off. I eyed 'everything' over on the top end and nothing showed to be what sprayed. I had a friend who's a chevy guy eye it over, not a clue either. And it still runs. So it sprays, drips, leaks, oil everywhere.
so both sides are sitting back a bit?
Well, I don't think both sides are, again I still have to accurately measure with a friend. but by myself either side 'seemed' equal.
The negative displacement is about 2 inches give or take a few eighths.
