dynacorn fender apron bolt spacing

I'm about to pull out my original banged up fender aprons and radiator support out of my '65 convertible. I went to line up the new front driver side apron with the original and the fender bolt holes are in completely different spots. Has anyone come across this before? Did ford change the fender bolt spacing at some point or is the replacement apron just crap?

From my own somewhat limited experience (1 - 68 right front apron) and all of what I've been hearing and seeing, here and on other sites, I would bet that your second guess:bang: is the most correct! :crap: Although the fact that SOME folks are at least making parts that sort of fit our cars is a heck of a lot better than us all needing to learn to become tin benders, fabricators, plastic molders, etc. Not perfect, but better than the alternative!
Just My $.02 or $.03,

The holes are off by at least a couple of inches. The car is in my dad's shop so i can't get any pics of it right now. There's no way my old fenders would line up with them. It's an early '65, which is why i was wondering if ford ever changed the bolt spacing.

I will get some pics tomorrow.

well i went over there and took some pictures.

It looks like the stamping is correct, but the holes are just in the wrong spots. the tag on the new piece says it's for 64-66. I think I just got a bad one.

I was told that it was when I bought it, but after looking at the part number and searching around the net, I think it's someone else's. The part number on it is M116L. I bought it from a local place a few months ago. It doesn't appear that dynacorn sells the individual fender aprons for the '64-'66 cars, they only seem to have the front and rears welded together. I may go that route, but I hate to spend money on the rears if I don't really need them since mine are fine.

i wish dynacorn had the front and rear panels seperate the quality is a lot better.
it will probably be worth the extra cost of the dynacorn panel anyway.the cheap aftermarket panels just are not worth it .some dont even have the holes at all. the dynacorn panels are a much beter fit and stamping, and even a heavier guage.
