When I bought my 1997 Mustang Coupe the dome light was on during the entire test drive, later I was told that it doesn't shut off. I figured it must shut off because it was off when I first saw it, but after a few hours of having it off and parked it was still on so I physically removed the bulb.

I would like to put it back in, but what should I do to make it shut off?
Does anyone have any ideas of what I could check?

Thanks!

Remote key less entry or not?

If not remote key less, the system is very simple. It's either the door switch or the head light switch.

If remote key less entry, then more tests are needed.

ya do what he said check the headlight switch , if your new to mustangs that switch turns to fade the interior lights , all you have to do is grab hold of the headlight switch and turn it right i believe till you here a click , then sometimes you gotta wait a little depending on f the door was recently opened or not and it should turn off , took me a while to figure that one out too when i first bought mine

The force is weak on this one. Hope lost it is <Yoda>

Your two problems MAY be related. Why? Because the door locks and courtesy lights go THROUGH the remote key less entry module.

Question? Did you wonder why someone would ask if your car had remote key less entry if it didn't matter?

You need a set of wiring diagrams and a service manual for your car. PM if interested in getting a set for yourself.
