Damn Top starter bolt, w/BBK Shorty Headers

Hey guys, been a while since I been on this thread but now I need some help!
The damn top starter bolt. I know I was able to get it off before but now I can't seem to reach it.
I installed shorty bbk headers and I'm thinking the hole which you go through from the front w
all the extensions is now gone. Tried everything but can not even see it or reach it. I also took off
the ac compressor but still no room to reach it. Kind of stuck on how to reach it now, anyone have
any advice? I rly don't want to pull the engine to get it out. Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you

I have the stock headers and I still have trouble reaching that top starter bolt.

This might not be the correct thing to do, but I simply mount my starter using the two bottom bolts and leave the top bolt hole empty! For maximum stability, I use longer bolts than stock...my starter mounting bolts go all the way through the holes in the transmission bell housing. You can see the ends of my bolts sticking out of the rear of the bell housing holes. (The stock bolts that came with my car are not this long and are not visible like this, even when fully tightened.)

Oh believe me I'm def leaving it out! I've heard people done it for years w no problems. Just can't get it out, being a pita. I'm thinking maybe take off the engine mount bolts/jacking the engine up a little to see if I get any leeway to reach it

You have to thread extensions between the mounts and the engine. About 18 inches of extensions is how I got it. I couldn't see the bolt either. Just had to feel for it to get the socket onto it.

Thanks COramprat, I had to take off the engine mount bolts and jack up the engine about an inch and was finally able to wedge it back there. Still couldnt see it but was able to barely feel it and guide the socket on. I think the bbk headers was the reason I had to jack the engine up a little bcuz I did it before without. Oh and left the damn bolt outt!

I've always used a mix of extensions and a swivel and removed in from in front of the k member. I work for a livery company and i think i hate removing the starter more then the rest of the transmission on a Town Car.
