My Oil Level Light came on yesterday. The oil level on the dipstick is fine and the oil pressure is also okay. Can some tell me where on the oil pan is this sensor located? I can purchase a new sensor from Late Model Restoration. What type of tool should be used for removal. Thanks in advance for your help.

My Oil Level Sensor has been replaced but the light is still on. Anyone have any suggestions on this issue?
Drain the oil...see how much you actually have? Never hurts to do an oil change, although its getting pricey these days.
I'm thinking airplanes here, but you may try disconnecting the battery/pulling the fuse for the circuit.....I don't have a schematic to look at, but there may be something in there to hold that light on until its reset?? <--- Just a thought. Other than that probably a chaffed wire somewhere shorting it out...just have to chase them and find the bare wire...if it really makes you mad you can just take the bulb out of the gauge cluster....never ahve to worry about low oil light again!

It's most likely something messed up in the wiring. An open circuit should be oil norm. If you unplug the sensor, the light should go out. If it doesn't go out, there is something wrong in the wiring.

Where is the Low Engine Oil Warning Relay? According to this diagram from my Haynes Manual there is one. See attachment.
