Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and on my second Fox Body Stang. I wasn't planning on getting a new project right now but I saw this deal and it was too good to pass up on. It's a 1993 5.0 LX notchback with a stock carb'd 302. It has a crazy big cowl hood, semi-slicks and a short shifter. The best thing about it is that it isn't justone color, or even two for that matter but four! That's gotta be worth some power! I just got 4.10 gears, subframe connectors, and am ordering headers, and exhaust in the next couple weeks. I plan on doing the edelbrock performer top end kit to really kick things off. Right now I am focusing on getting it to one solid color, for now it's going to be flat black. I have read the the 1990 lx restomod build thread on here and it inspired me to redo my interior shortly also. For now, here are the pics from when I got it and how it is sitting after getting the first coat half painted tonight. I look forward to meeting everyone!!

Jason

Thanks, glad to be here! I'll drive it around, its a toy only so it won't get driven a whole lot. The interior is dirty but its all there, it needs some TLC and itll look good as new!

You know I looked back at the photos - that hood is really high up there in the cowl (what is that 5" ??) - are you going to keep it that way - just wondering ...to me it throws the car off balance - but I'm not a fan of spoilers or cowl hoods (although for my project I'm forced to get one b/c of deck height ) although I used vert motor mounts - so I may may get away with a stock hood...but probably not...

It's an 85 engine, at least that's what I was told so far, I haven't confirmed with the serial number yet and from what I can find they come carb'd and besides I like the fact that it is carb'd
