Someone is trying to tell me this is a GT40. Is this one any good and how much is it worth?Explorer 5.0 intake. Similar to the Cobra and GT40 (tubular) intakes.
not sure if it holds true for the sn models but on foxbodies these have to be shaved down to allow clearance to fit on the engine. not a big deal but not a direct bolt on for a fox.
The only upgrade intake that will be plug-n-play for your car is the SN Cobra intake.OK, so now I am really confused. What you are saying is that this setup will not just "bolt on" to my engine? What would be the best set up for me to use? What about the Trick Flow? Would they require alteration as well? Any other recommendations?
Oh, and don't do the Fox throttle body conversion. One of the huge advantages of the SN is the improved throttle body.
I am not out for a big arguement, but I have talked to a bunch of folks that have done the swap "backwards", and they WILL argue with you.
The Fox setup has so much more aftermarket support and choices, as well as more throttle response.
Not to mention the complexity you remove from the engine bay and room added for other mods.
I wish I had talked to those guys before dropping 300 bux on an SN Cobra intake.
The SN set up is just so over-engineered, ugly, complex, and can't keep a consistent idle for more than 10 seconds.
My Foxes are sooooooooo much more user friendly and performance superior to our SN, and it's obvious it comes down to the induction set up.
Ummm... NO!SN95= OBDII, has nothing to do with the intake and everything to do with the ECC.
