I just wanted to say hello. I just picked up my new Mustang and am ecstatic about it! I have been an import die hard my whole life. I bought a Mazda CX-9 for the wife last year and have been very pleased with it. Since it is mostly Ford engineering with a Mazda body, interior and tuning, I decided to give Ford a look when I was ready to give up my G35 coupe 6MT.

I was never much of a mustang fan other than the appreciation for the engine and the unique exhaust sound. One test drive of the 2013 5.0 and there was no turning back. I picked up a 2013 Gt premium, red candy metallic, comfort and Brembo package with 3.55 rear end. It is a blast to drive, more comfortable than the G and reasonably priced. I loved every second of the 160 mile drive home from the dealer. With the CX-9 and Mustang I have a new found appreciation of Ford products now. None of my friends can believe I bought a Ford! I am looking forward to many years with the new Stang. If it holds up well, I may never buy import again.

Glad you took the risk to look. The new Mustangs are phenomenal cars. Yours sounds awesome! Congrats, and welcome.

Agree with previous posts--we need pics.

Also, let me be the first to inform you about an infectious disease that comes with most new and used Mustangs. It's called the "mod bug". Don't get too worried though... it won't kill you, and most of the time it's fun. If you're not careful, you can let it advance to extreme cases, when you start uttering words like "twin turbo"--that can lead to frustration, significant expense, and painful ear-to-ear grins. But for most of us, the bug is nothing more than a little itch that can be scratched periodically to improve performance, and make your car unique.

Thanks everyone. It was a long drive home so I had to clean her up first. I will get pics up soon. Definitely getting an exhaust as soon as deCide which one I like. It's a shame Ford put on such a quiet one stock. I have heard some incredible sounding Mustangs around town.

I know what you mean. I am trying to keep myself restrained. I already started by removing the dealer, UAW and Sirius radio decals. I know...I am extreme! Seriously though, I am definitely starting with some new pipes, window tint and maybe a MGW shifter. Those OEM muzzle mufflers have to go. I just have to decide what I like best.
