Carpet/dash Question

put the dash in first that way you dont risk tracking anything on the new carpet. Oh, and get the mass back carpet that LMR sells.

I just ordered some ACC carpet from LMR, but now I'm wondering if I got the mass back or not? Where on the site does it even say? I got the black carpet they show for '82-93 but it doesn't say anything about the backing. It doesn't have the heavy padding/sound deadening that the factory carpet had underneath it...is that what we're talking about or...?

I just searched on the site "mass back" and found the carpet that I did NOT order lol

Anyone have any good recommendations for insulating heat from the interior before putting new carpets in? i.e. from exhaust heat, etc? It was 112 in an area I drove through yesterday and I was getting dizzy from the heat pouring in through the floorboard. Doesn't help I don't have a/c but engine would run too hot anyhow.

I need to research more I guess....was reading somewhere on here with the issue being heat dissipation. Cars half gutted on the interior anyhow, so wouldn't be hard to jump in on it. Want to get all new carpets, door panels, seats etc, so may hold off till I'm ready for the whole package.

You can pay for the expensive stuff but at the end of the day my truck with dynomat vs your vehicle with whatever brand will sound the same. Thickness is what matters. And yes that's what she said.
