New motor is almost ready to fire! Guess my HP

It's running.. Ended up having to upgrade the fuel system.. 24's and a bigger fuel pump.

Yeah I was going to tell you to run 24's when I re-read this thread yesterday, but figured I was too late. I should have caught it the first time I read it and it might have saved you from wasting your time with the 19's and stock pump.

It's never gonna make it to the dyno... I love reading these kind of threads when there is closure. threads like this, how much power then no closure suck. Strap the car to the dyno and quit making excuses.

I took it to the dyno at Steeda and posted my results, man! Take a look up a couple replies. I said I didn't know if/when I'd be taking it to the track.

I have heard that mustang dyno's actually read lower than a dyno jet. I have never experienced this though. I have used a dynapak and a dynojet. But the dynapak was not calibrated properly. So I got bad numbers..:( and no refund.. My old car, basically explorer motor with a stock 88 cam made 260 285 on a dynojet.

Sucks about the dynapak. I've heard the same thing as the Mustang dyno simulates more of a load than the Dynojet does. From what I understand it's 10-15% different so I assume I'd read around 300rwhp and 340rwtq on a Dynojet. I'll have to take it on one if I'm ever around one.

A dyno is a tuning tool to me..weigh your car race it see what your 1/4 is then you can see what your putting down they have calculators for this...give you a decent idea what your making and see if its close to what you made on a dyno...

^^Now those number are more like it. I have a very similar setup to yours, 306, eddie RPM, TFS stage 2 cam, eddie perfomer heads w/ 2.02in/1.6ex, long tube headers. Hoping to make the same numbers you are.

What issues did you have to work out to free up the extra HP?

Something in the a/f ratio I believe. There was a long standing bucking at 1800-2100 rpm that affected driveability quite severely. After bringing it back to Steeda it seemed that all it was was a tuning issue. I was ready to ditch the BBK MAF but they made it work.
