Do I Need Fmu And Boost Timing Retard

I have a fox with a build 306 with all upgrades. Just got a s trim and plan to run 6-8psi. I have the 42lb injectors 190 pump and a t-rex inline. I am woudering if I need the fmu and if I do which one do I get. Also do I need the boost timing retard unit?

save your money and get a Moates Quartehorse from Willie at Dirty Dirty Racing with a tune made for your setup. Waaaay better

Awsome. Thanks for the advice. I am new to the boost department. I looked up the Quarterhorse is it user friendly? Do i tune it myself via laptop?

its a tough learn. I would get the unit from Willie. It comes with free tunes, and let him work his magic

Sounds good from what i read. Ive never messed with any tuning device, so maybe its time. There is alot of different units out there to chose from tho.

you do not want to start playing with timing and fuel mapping unless you know what you are doing. You can run rich all day long but lean once and it is an expensive lesson. I agree with the others in letting an experienced tuner set up the car, either in person or through the mail.

no way you need an FMU with 42's you will need tuning with the 42's or go to 30's and a FMU. you need a new ignition set up i use a crane one with boost retard,,,my other one i use a

Stock is plenty, I wouldn't put any msd products on my car
