Ok, I'm going crazy. I have an '89 convertible GT with 17 x 8's with 235/45's on the front with Falken 452's, and 17 x 9's with 275/40's on the back with Falken 451's. The 451's are better looking tires, but they don't make them anymore, so I had to go with the 452's on the front. I just put the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs on it. The back looks good, but the front looks too "bulky", and the top of the tire goes up in the fender. And the front also rubs a little when I take a corner. What brand tires look the best? And what size? I've heard 245/45 on the front, but the 235/45 are already rubbing. Thanks for any help.

I run coil overs on the front and have them set as low as they'll go, run a 9 inch wide wheel with a 255/40, and all I rub on is the inner fender well. Mine don't even come close to tucking up inside the wheel well. Guess I wasn't able to lower my car as much as I wanted lol. Did you install isolators when installing the springs?

Yes I installed isolators. I'm gonna get some pics up in a little bit.

Sorry guys to sort of go off topic here, but I just got new treads for my 89' went with the Sumitomo HTRZ III's since cost was an issue (just replaced whole drivetrain, trans to rear) I went 245/45/17 fr and 275/35/17 rears with plenty of room anyhow, not sure of specifics but PO did the suspension which appears to be BBK lowered coils front and rear w/rear BBK arms etc My issue is what is a good baseline alignment for similar setup?? I know I had one done within 6mos but obviously I should have specified certain settings, since I imagine they used the stock ones, and car is real jerky at speed on bad freeways (all pretty much in so cal.) just the slightest deviation in road and car wants to do a lane change...lol thanks for the advice ahead of time

I hope that's a misprint and you meant you went 275/40/17 in the rear....otherwise, it must look awfully short out back. A 275/35 is an inch shorter than a 245/45.
