Advantages Of Aftermarket A-arms?

so i went to get an alignment after new wheels and tires yesterday, and the tech said that i needed new ball joints on both sides. im calling bull, since i just had new ones installed less than a year ago and i have been gone most of that time due to the Military, so it has maybe seen 2k miles since. but in case it does need new ball joints, i have been playing with the idea of just grabbing some after market A-arms with ball joints already installed and just bolting them up, along with the required coil-over's. any real advantage? i just see installing A-arms as less of a PITA than ball joints, cause i had a HELL of a time doing it last time, to the point that i actually had my buddy finish it up at his shop.

Why is your car eating up ball joints? Is your car lowered without CC plates and/or bumpteer? Normally you can replace the ball joints once in the stock control arms, as the replacements are oversized. Did you use stock replacement or steeda ball joints? Jack up your car and support it on jackstands and try and push the wheel up and down. If you feel any play or looseness, then your ball joints are shot.

If you are considering aftermarket control arms. be careful using cheap ones, especially with a stock K member. Yes they will give you an increase in handling and performance but you are looking at near $1000 for a good set of A arms and a coilover setup from Steeda or MM.

I drove it with FRPP C springs and no CC plates for maybe 1-2k miles, I just put on MM CC plates before the tires and wheels. And I have no clue as to why it would eat them up otherwise. They were factory replacement, not stress. And I'd be lookin at something like UPR honestly, with the money I have dropped on the car I just can't afford the MM parts with other things I have going on at the moment. But If I do need ball joints I don't want to dump money I to the stock arms again.
