Would You Guys Trade Your Fox For A Sn95?

Not that I regret buying my fox body. It's also cool to have a ssp, but the last couple of days I really found myself wanting a sn95. I don't know what it is. It took me forever to find a good solid fox, and the fact that it was a notch and a ssp made me feel like I couldn't let it pass me up because I seen a lot of ragged ones before this. This car would actually be a good car to restore back to how it was as a police car and cruise around to meets and what not, but that isn't the way I want to go with this. I know ssp's isn't one of those must have rare cars to have, but i'm sure there's someone out there wanting one to put it back to it's original state and enjoy it for what it used to be used for, not someone like me who just wants to go fast and tear :poo: up. If that makes any sense?

I just want some opinions here. I hate to 'ruin' an ssp(in the eyes of ssp owners who have restore theirs and enjoy it for what it was) But besides how I feel about that part of the car, has anyone gone from a fox to a sn95(94-95) or maybe the 96-98 cobra? My plans don't include drag racing and I know the fox is lighter. I want more of a street car and handling would be important as well.

I am keeping my fox body stang. Do ANY newer ones have both headroom and a use able back seat for someone with attached legs? Last time I was in a sn95, it gave me a kink in the neck.

Trade? Not my fox, but I would own an SN95.

I did for a while. Bought this 2003 GT 5-spd new. Leather, nice stereo, cold ac, ABS, more comfortable to ride in, and ran 14.1 bone stock. My only regret was not getting the 4v Mach 1, but I was a new grad and couldn't only afford so much.

I miss this car. If I could buy it back I would

I bought an 02 GT new, I also wish I had waited and got the Mach1.

I just sold what I'd guess what most would consider one of the best that body style had to offer..(03 Cobra).
I was never in love with the body style, and owning that one didn't change my mind either. The fact that it made over 400hp didn't as well.
They are just too homogenous, and the 6 cyl cars are everywhere.
I'd say keep your fox.

But then I wanted a Fairmont instead of the Cobra,... so whadda I know.

I swapped from a Fox to an SN back in 1999. I had two Fox GTs and I liked them both. It's a preference thing. I'm really glad I had the Fox cars when I did because you could definitely cram more stuff in them. I was in college and I could fit all of my dorm room fixtures in the car. The SN does not have much in the way of storage space, and it's hard to get stuff in the trunk.

That being said, the SN is a better car. It doesn't have a lot of the short hand quality problems, and it doesn't make a whole bunch of creaking noises going down the road. It also has a tendancy to go straight when you put the gas down. You get more for your money. There are a few downsides. It's a lot harder to get to the forward header bolt on the driver's side for one. It really just boils down to personal preference.

I actually traded an SN95 (98 GT) for my fox now. I wanted to see what all the buzz is about with foxes at the time. I love my fox, and i love how you can make it fast for cheap. The only SN95 id trade my fox for now would have to be a Mach 1 or a terminator cobra. As long as I'm in hawaii, ill keep my fox. If i end up moving to the mainland, ill sell it and probably get an SN95 where ever i go.
