Thanks for your opinion on them, I will take that into consideration. This will be my first high end firearm but I figure this isn't a area I want to be cheap on and I'm sure it will last forever.I would take a sig 1911 over a R1 all day. Don't get me wrong the R1 is nice (very nice actually) but it doesn't have anything on the Sig. I've shot both and both were nice but the Sig just more of a pleasure to shoot. recoil was similar, grouping was similar, action on the sig was smoother as was the trigger. Sig was more comfy.
what sucks is I just bought a house and cant afford either!
My ole ladies cousin has a 9mm Ruger (can't remember the model), it is god awful heavy. He does have some 30 round extendoe magazines so that's nice. I have the Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace, the only thing I don't like is how loose their magazines are. I'm not going to get into the sweep or trigger reset of the two guns but I probably won't be buying another Ruger. Unless it's a rifle, maybe, haven't really looked into them.Ruger also has a nice 45. Shopping is fun, buying is all together different.
