I'm not sure if what I was going to do is what you are speaking of or not. I ordered some LEDs to replace the incandescent bulbs in the instrument panel. Pulling the panel actually wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, the bulbs I received were not the right type. So, I actually haven't completed it yet or I would comment on that part. I have since re-installed the instrument panel and will take care of it later I guess. If you decide to do it, I think you will find its not too bad. The biggest issue for me was removing the speedo cable. It can be kind of a pain. Best of luck!

haha doing the work isnt an issue i just want to know if the guys whos done it would do it again the kit from CJ's is 80 bucks or so but you can get 194 LED bulbs on ebay with side mounts and top mounts to get rid of the dim spots for like 15 bucks shipped.

is it worth the time spent to do it or not?

I did mine and I love how it turned out. Really brightens everything up.
Well worth the cost and effort I think.

I bought the LED's from www.superbrightleds.com

I bought my bulbs from vendor on eBay. Cool white and cost was just under 30 dollars. Leave the dummy lights alone and replace the rest.

I got some on ebay for my 95. $7 for 10 - 194 led bulbs(white). I plan on doing the cluster, hvac controls, glove box and license plate bulbs

I did the LED mod on mine and the dash dimmer works fine after I took it apart and cleaned it out. I spent $15 for a pack of 12 on mine through ebay.

Nice, my dimmer works fine, I know I have a bulb burned out by the oil guage. This is a good reason to take care of it. Cool white on a dimmer ...
