Hi everyone,

Has anyone relocated (or added) the aux jack from the arm rest compartment to closer to the power jack on the center console? I'm making a mount for my phone that will plug right into that center power jack and I'd like to have the aux jack there too. I can't stand the thought of having a wire going by the shifter. If anyone has re-worked the wiring, any navigation tips? I picture the process being rather easy. Find the aux cable, cut/splice a new jack onto it, drill a mount hole on the console and put it all together. Any caveats?

IDK if you're any good or not with solder or wiring (no offense) but wouldn't it be easier to pull the AUX adapter out of the center console, plug the AUX cord (between your phone and the car) tape them together and then run the cord to where your phone will be? So you will have an AUX cord end to plug into your phone, that leads into the dash with no other cord/wires showing? This would, in turn, eliminate having excessive cord everywhere.

Unless you really want to do the splice?
