I am rebuilding my nephews stock 91 5.0 lx. It has a pro-m cold intake and the maf says 77m and calibration says 30r. I am assuming the maf is calibrated for 30lb injectors. The injectors have part # 7093 17 105898. I can't find anything when I google that number. I'm not sure why someone would install 30lb injectors on a completely stock motor. Unless the old owner just bought the air intake and maf not knowing it was calibrated for 30.

There isn't a chip plugged in it. I'm trying to figure out why it has a maf calibrated for 30lb injectectors. I am doing a full overhaul on the motor with a basic gt40 setup and e303 cam. I am assuming the stock 19 lb injectors would work just fine with this setup. Should I just buy new 19lb injectors and a stock maf sensor?? or would the current 30lb maf still be ok to use with 19lb injectors? I hate working on cars that someone else attempted to work on already

Don't run a maf calibrated for 30's with 19# inj. It will run like crap. If you're doing the gt40/e cam swap and don't plan on boosting,n2o,etc. I recommend either getting a new maf with 24# inj or running the 30# setup with a chip. The 19's are border line too small. 24's are ideal. Don't forget if you haven't done it yet throw a bigger fuel pump in with that swap(if it's still stock)

Apparently they are 30lb injectors from the little bit of info I got from them. Why someone put injectors on a stock motor i cant answer. Can i just run the 30 lb injectors with the calibrated MAF sensor instead of buying a chip? I really dont have the funds to rebuild his motor and install a whole new fuel and intake system. The car ran fine whe i bought it for him with this fuel setup besides a little surge and idle but I blame that on a leaking vacuum line.

You can run the 30# setup but it's going to run rich. If you are swapping the gt40 setup as well it won't be real real bad. It's not going to wash down the cylinders just probably get worse gas mileage, little lower performance, etc. Also again if you are adding higher fuel demand the stock pump will not keep up. Buy a new pump. They are cheap. Also if there were some idle issues before the rebuild they still may be there. I know you said vac leak(and fixed that) but it may still be there afterwards. Check the sticky out under common questions about surging idle(it can/will safe you from chasing your tail if the problem still exists)
