Looking For A Used Motor Or Shortblock In Michigan

I'm looking for a motor for my 90 Mustang GT, used is OK so long as it's good. I'm in S.E. Michigan and thought I had located an Explorer motor from a wreck but the block was cracked. Anyone have one or know of a good place to find one that is inexpensive? A short block would be fine, I can use my old heads and all the accessories, just can't afford too much right now.

I have already checked those, not much on there. The Explorer motor I was going to buy fell thru when a cracked block was found when the motor was pulled.

Are you looking for drop in and go or rebuildable? I have a stock 95 5.0 short block ready for rebuild. Also a 70s 302 with some overbore.

I just found an 87 5.0 HO from a Mustang GT that I was told only has 85,000 miles on it, I'm going to see it on Weds. and see if it looks good, from the pic he had it is complete except for the TB and looked clean. I might try it as is unless I can find some gt40 heads. I'll take it apart and see how it looks, couldn't hurt to replace gaskets, oil pump, and valve springs while I have it on a stand.

We have had over 6 ft of snow this winter and most of it is still on the ground so I REALLY don't want to be outside trying to pull a motor now, and even when it warms up the ground is going to be mud so laying under a vehicle to pull the trans doesn't sound like fun. The next 10 days shows high's in the teens, in a month or so I'll be checking for some gt40 heads at a U-Pull. I have located a 87 Motor for a good price, better than the JY prices, hopefully it is as good as the guy says.

Depends on the condition of the engine I am going to look at on Weds.......I doubt my wife would want to go on vacation to junkyards looking for a motor though.
