Does not start? Or does not turn over? Explain exactly what it does.

maybe start a new thread?

Yeah I think a new thread is in order for that problem. Might be ok if you didn't run it too long. I would say your first issue would not be the ecu. Maybe the tfi module on the distributor.

If it's a 94 as shown in the avatar the TFI is not on the distributor. It's located on the passenger side inner fender behind the air intake. If the distributor was replaced with a reman piece it's likely the PIP that has failed. The HB separation won't hurt anything if the rpms were kept to a minimum for a few minutes.

Toyman is correct, TFI is located behind the air intake.

Fwiw, I've never seen a TFI fail on a 94-95 gt.
It's always the PIP, located inside the distributor that gives us problems.

You should be ok with the balancer separation, just check the timing cover for any damage.

The crank pully is held by four, half inch bolts, balancer by a 15/16 bolt iirc.
you will need a puller to remove whats left of the balancer.

You can rent one at a parts store with a fully refundable deposit.
