You think 50' of 2" titanium header wrap is enough for a set of BBK long tubes?

I think you're gonna come up short. I'd buy a 50' and 25' roll, just to be safe. I used two full, 50' rolls on my snowmobile pipes this winter and I can't see any long tube header taking much less wrap than one exhaust pipe. Where you really end up using it up is in the sharp bends. You have to overlap several times to keep the wrap as tight as possible. The end results are worth it though....

I don't know that it would be on my wish list. If I had it to do again (check the price on wrap and headers) I would buy ceramic coated.

Well, it's really up to you. Wrapping the headers is still cheaper than having them ceramic coated...and the wrap works better than ceramic coating....but the ceramic is pretty and keeps the headers from rusting.

Ideally, you would wrap a ceramic coated header.

Ceramic coating is an extra $130 for BBK LT's at LMR. I'd rather spend about $60 on wrap and have a more effective heat reduction under the hood. Besides, i've seen ceramic coated headers turn blue and man my friend was upset.

I hear ya. I meant I'd buy the ceramic coated for looks. Like BBK ceramic. I understand wrap is my friend now for dual purposes. Fixes the ugly and helps with heat. I also meant that I wouldn't buy new chrome with the intention to wrap them. Most ceramics seem to look good a long time. I've also heard that wrap makes them rust out. (I heard).

Walk into any motorcycle shop and pick up a bottle of spray for removing the blue.

if I were you I would paint the headers first with a very high temp paint and going through the heat treating process before wrapping them with any type of wrap it will greatly reduce the chances of rusting out the headers.

DO NOT WRAP YOUR HEADERS. This is an opportunity to learn from my mistakes. I wrapped a nice set of new BBK longtubes, and they rusted so bad a primary collapsed within 2 years. It cost me $75 to get that primary replaced. The rest of those headers got so thin my feet would sweat. I ended up having to replace them in the long run.

So if you shouldn't wrap the headers what is the next best thing to do because I hear ceramic coating is expensive.
