They're all f-body. I didn't care for the high mount alt either and this was the best way I could figure to route the belts without PS and AC.

I think you are going to get slippage on that. I would prefer more real estate on that crank. I think once you start running power to that you are going to get some squeal. Do you know if someone else runs it like that or is that a homeopathic remedy?

I've got a katech solid tensioner coming that will do the trick. This set up is one I drew up but I sent it to the guy I got the 6.0 from and turns out it's a pretty common routing. I'm not a creative genius like I thought. Supposedly we'll be fine but time will tell.

In other news...

Not a fun task in the slightest

damn stuff just got serious. You are way more dedicated than I sir.I would have just concentrated on getting it fdired up. What are your overall plans for the interior? stripped racer?

No no it'll be a full interior streetable car.
I don't like being unsure of the wiring done by the PO so I'll pretty much be starting from scratch in that regard.
I pulled all the autometer stuff and will be pulling all the aftermarket stereo stuff out as well. May go ahead and build the new cluster.

The dash (unsurprisingly) is pretty damn heavy and I'll be stripping a lot of unneeded components mounted to it as well as the heater core from the firewall. All my wiring will be done as well as mounting the Holley system while the dash is out. So while it wasn't essential to start up, it was kind of a "while I'm in there " thing.

Lot of unneeded cluter.

Accufab makes the 4150 bodies for a FAST. Accufab offers 3-4 color choices whereas FAST offers...red. BUT the FAST TB flows 150 more cfm for like $20 less so color be damned that's what I'm using.

I dont buy that the fast TB flows 150 cfm more. It is the same base and the same size throttle blades. Also, JD's performance will beat accufabs prices by like 50 bucks plus he ships them for free...

See, I'm with your line of thinking. If the body and blades are the same I don't why ones 1250 and ones 1375. Or why accufab would advertise a lower CFM. Obviously if one offers more for the same money, I'm all about it. But I'd like to find the actual answer. It may seem trivial but I'd really prefer a different color. I'm working how the flow testing might have varied

Talk to george at accufab, ill bet he will give you a straight answer to that. Also, when you order it, make sure you ask for a throttle ball to be included.

Good deal, thanks for the heads up.

Got my lokar dipstick. It's a little longer than what FTI supplied but the flexibility is what I needed. My LS1 throttle cable showed up as well. But it's the same length as the 4.6 unit and will take a little modification so I'm gonna try and use the Ford cable first.

Got the heater core pulled and the carpet pulled back. Stripped out the padding behind the dash and just generally wanted to make sure the car was solid everywhere. And it is.
I'm really unhappy with the cage that's in the car now. It's a "6 point" but in realilty only the drivers side door bar was finished and it wouldn't pass tech anyways so it's essentially a 4 point. Hoping to click off some 9 second passes when the cars lined out so I'm leaning towards having the cage redone now.

My plan to have it up and running by may is obviously out the window. I just keep finding things I want to do or I'm unhappy with so I'm going to address all of them. It'll run when it runs I guess.

Nice work. You really got a handle on the work there it looks like. Let me know how that trans dipstick works out. I have heard it is a pain to fill the trans with that dipstick.
