So they're coming out w a 305 hp turbo 4 as well as the 300 hp v6. I guess the 4 cyl is to draw the mpg crowd but it seems unnecessary to offer both v6 and 4 cyl or a 4cyl at all for that matter

FWIW the 6cyl is only going to be offered in the US market. They are releasing the turbo4 in the European market and expect it to do well there from what I've been reading.

Maybe, maybe not. Had the girlfriends Focus ST out on the highway last weekend. With her, I and a car full of gear we were seeing just a shade over 42mpg on the highway and a solid 30mpg in the city. There's only a 250lb weight difference between the Focus ST and Mustang GT.I dont see a ecoboost 4 cylinder being a more economical option than the 5.0. On paper it would be, but in the real world i bet they are within 2mpg of each other in the hands of the average driver.
