Progress Thread The Only Part Of A Chevy You Don't Have To Tow (until Now), Into An Sn95.

The engine = 75% of the lack of interest.
The body = 20% of the lack of interest.
You=5% of the lack of interest.

PS. Have you noticed that your No1 contributor of late is the guy w/ the slash through the letters LS?

People are coming around,.....when the purists die off in a few years, then you and your kind will be allowed to ride at the front of the bus, and drink from the same water fountain as the rest of the Mustang owners.

I enjoy race car builds more than the cookie cutter builds fwiw. I'm not a fan of the body style. I don't particularly like mad mikes either (as if he cares:)) but I enjoy following these builds. Especially ones that are "different".

Yeah I knew that'd be the reaction from the get-go, and I can live with that. I just happen to like this forum the most out if the ones I frequent so I update anyways. It took a while for me to come around to the body style myself. And you're either going to love the swap or hate it like most do. But I'm having a really good time with this car so it's all good to me

And dont be bashin on my number one fan, he's coming around

Insert unrelated smiley face for..something

:baby:

Ps. While I feel your numbers are accurate there's gotta be a way for my personality to account for more of the disinterest.
I can count the number of stangnetter's who like fairmonts on 1 finger so it must be your crotchety "get off my lawn" attitude that I need to try out

I dont buy that the fast TB flows 150 cfm more. It is the same base and the same size throttle blades. Also, JD's performance will beat accufabs prices by like 50 bucks plus he ships them for free...
Forgot to get back with ya. George said they're virtually identical sans the engraving. Why they advertise so differently is beyond me. But I'll be going with the accufab for sure now

Though I do not condone dissimilar brand engine swaps, I'm not a complete hater. I drop in here whenever I see the thread pushed to the top by Tanner, just to see how it's going.

I supposed I am a purist in that sense. I don't think I'd drop a Ford motor into a Chevy either.

Good thing it's an SN though or you'd be bant for sure! :fuss:

:D

Oh and I almost forgot....

hate :p

Don't take the lack of posts as a lack of interest. There are a lot of people like myself who flow along silently. While I prefer to see a ford engine i there, I love watching big hp come from a modest budget "junkyard" build. Keep up the good work.

Yeah,...but he keeps saying it's not a JY build anymore.
Now he's payin' to play,...because he doesn't want to spray...........

LS reciprocating parts,...all over the track.

The short block came from a prison van but has been completely gone through with about 50mi on it. The heads are off an early camaro, but have been carved out and have an all new valvetrain. Everything else is brand new. So I guess the junkyard part fell off the build a while back. Guess that explains why my budget got blown away

I'm really interested to see how much I end up liking it honestly. I know it's going to be a track monster for what it is, I know it isn't going to be nearly as streetable as I intend. I know that the platform and parts I've put into it now will keep up with more hp than I'll probably ever make. I'm just hoping it'll be something I enjoy for a while.

Wooaaa! Those are fighting words there. I by no means wear a Bow tie. I challenge you to an old fashion southern duel to sort this conflict out. ;)

I was talking to the OP Joe. For a minute, you gave him a glimmer of hope that you may be a fan. Now that you're back to hating, we can send him back to the rear, where all the poor bastards who dare build any other thing than a GT 40 306 belong. ;)

I guess I will stop watching so much Tombstone. LOL
