Oil Pan For Dart Shp 302 Block

For any of you guys running the Dart SHP, what oil pan are you guys using. Have decided to build a 331 and am using the Dart SHP as the block. I want to run a 7 qt pan and am looking for recommendations from guys who have the same setup. This is for my 87 GT.

Thanks.

I went Moroso on mine as well, also with the moroso pickup. I used a universal dipstick tube, and it was a pain to get to fit. Actually it took a second dipstick tube to get the bends close enough to work, using the first one as a model.

Yeah, I have the same issue with the dipstick tube. Been debating just forking over the money for the Flex Braid version.

I think that would be the same issue with any of the universal tubes with any manufacturer.

Thanks guys. What pump are you running? I read on the Dart website that a high volume pump is not needed on the new Dart blocks because of the new oiling system.

I think you mis understood what I'm saying... Rear main seal and Oil pan seal are two totally different things. The billet front and back pan sections add to the pan sealing better on the front and rear of the motor and have no effect on the rear main seal itself.
