i broke the hard plastic fuel rail lines that connect to the hard metal lines on the passenger side of the engine bay, notices fuel leaking, so i cut them off the hard lines and removed the entire fuel rail system from my car. Is that somethign ill have to get from ford? they look like they may have been heat-shrunk to the hard lines, but i cant tell for sure.

i used a boxcutter to remove the line from the hardline, so i cant really splice it like that. Do those lines just go on with force?
I bought mine with the plastic lines trashed. I cut the metal lines in the passenger fender well by the frame rail right where they were crimped. I then flared the end of the hard lines with a 37 degree flaring tool and made braided hoses to the fuel rail from there.

oh, sorry i was thinking of either a hack saw or die-grinder. i dont think there will be room enough for a tubing cutter there, but its not really an issue after looking more closely at what i have. i can probably flare the end without cutting it.

If my memory serves me there was a bolt holding the lines to the body I removed it and it allowed plenty of room for the tool.
