Hello all

I had two frozen door lock actuators in my 1989 Mustang GT. So I replaced both with new ones. However, on drivers side, when I hit the drivers side switch, nothing happens. When I hit the passenger side switch, the drivers side actuator works, but nothing happens on passenger side. Any thoughts? Im thinking new switch on drivers side, but passenger side issue has me confused.

Take the switches out of their mounts and spray them down good with electrical contact cleaner. That's a good first step.

My Door Latches were bent beyond repair. I took the old actuators out and it seems the PO didn't put them in right and thus screwed up both door latches to where they wouldn't lock. Went to the junkyard and bought 2 door latches, cleaned em up and they work like new :nice:

I also replaced the actuators, the rod that sticks out of it looked like spaghetti

Also make sure they are connected. You'll have to pull the door panels to check if the switches don't fix your problem.
