Hey all. I was wondering what cars would have a suitable electric fan I can put on fox. I have a '02 escape dual fan but I don't know if it will work right. Any help would be awesome!!

lots of guys using the ford contour or for taurus fans, the one you have i dont know, have to try it i guess,i have a flex-a-light and it works decent enough ...if you do a search in here think theres already some threads on it...also,you should upgrade your alternator also if your switching to electric fan...

Awesome. DO you have a picture of your setup?? How did you wire it up?? Thanks
No photo yet, but I can do one with my current set up possibly tomorrow and post. I am currently using a Flex-A-Lite veriable speed controller, but I have a DC Controller on order. I need something a little more consistent on when my fans come on. After I get the new controller I will photo it with that set up.

Awesome. I was going to do something really simple like a stand alone switch set up. I dont have the know how to convert to an electric from a clutch. So i figured a simple switch circut would work

Potentially, under certain conditions your car might not warm up properly. One of the things your ECU does is use the ECT sensor to set fuel and timing curves based on engine temp. Just depends, a fuel injected car it would cause issues, but a carbed car shouldn't matter as much.

Ok. Well i could kick the fan on when the car gets above 180-200 Manually. Would that work just until the car cools? My car is Fuel injected. I dont know how to wire up a controller. I guess that is my issue

Pick up a variable temperature controller. FAL has a nice one, i forget the part number, maybe 33054

That's what I run with my Taurus fan. FAL33054 The instructions are easy to follow. The only tools you need for wiring this are

Wire strippers
Wire crimpers
16 g wire- I would get a package of red and black
Soldering gun and solder
Electrical tape
Heat shrink
Optional- wire loom

Can't remember if the kit comes with it, but you also want a HD blade 30 amp fuse in between the fan and the starter solenoid.

My controller is mounted below the CAI on the passenger frame, and the fan is held in place with some L shape brackets on the bottom and radiator zip ties on the top. The fuse is in the driver shock tower under the coil cover.

There's a good install article on this site and the Corral with pictures and step by steps. I would not advise an E fan unless you have a 130 amp alternator first.
