I was gonna say your nuts need cut off if you put a hitch on a mustang... I have had 2 jet skis, they both sucked the money out of me... At the river for 2 hours, 13 gallons on gas gone in 1 ski. 9 minutes per gallon.. Plus the damn 2 stroke oil... Fun but expensive

Back in the day I hauled a 19' Renken Ski boat practically every weekend with my vert. I bought a Draw-Tite receiver hitch that was made for the Mustang. It slipped right under the rear bumper cover. When I wasn't using it, I removed the hitch and put on a supplied neat little cover. It was nearly unnoticeable. The car hauled the boat great but wouldn't stop worth a poop. LOL
The funnest part was loading and unloading the boat at the ramp. The verts exhaust sounded awesome while idling with the tailpipes under the water. LOL
Getting the boat up back up the ramp was fun with the 2.73s. Did some nice burnouts. LOL

Two great days for boat owners:

1. The day you buy it.
2. The day you sell it.

That's true for the fair weathered boat owners that emotionally buy it thinking it's going to be an instant poontang magnet and then finds out that all his friends use him for it and the owner gets stuck with the payment, insurance, repairs, storage & maint and still ends up lonely at the end of the night with a manual love session.

For someone who really likes boating, skiing & wakeboarding they love it the first day, last day and every day inbetween because they're buying the boat for the real purpose of owning one which is real family and friends, the sun and water sports.

Whether it's a classic car (foxbody for us) or a boat it's an investment of labor, time & money which we all can expect a loss on. It's all the same in the end.

Nothing wrong with a hitch on a Mustang. The Drag Week guys all have hitches.

Kurt
+1. always cool to see some of those guys that drive their car 100+ miles to the track each way, with a small trailer with their slicks and a few tools on it, swap wheels at the track, race, win, put street tires on, and drive home.

Here's an interior color sneak peak...
