So I am rebuilding the front suspension on my 93. I installed new A arm with new bushings and new ball joints. I also installed tokico blues, eibach pro kit, and BBK CC plates. My question is what am I supposed to be re-using from the stock factory strut set up(if any) ? I used the factory isolator bump stop and the boot. With the spacers that came with the CC plates, the retaining nut wont really thread on to the strut.

I think when I installed my new KYB struts I didn't reuse anything from the old struts. I installed the washer/shims from the CC plates per the instructions and that's about it. It's pretty much solid mounted to the strut tower/CC plate and everything should be new.

You don't have to use all the spacers only what you need to get it installed correctly. The install instruction will show options of which spacers you can use and where. Some slide over the shaft of the strut BEFORE you insert it into the CC plate and then you add more spacers on top. I have J&M CC plates and they had decent instructions.

If your happy with your alignment leave your plates alone but if you want more caster you need to swap your top plates from side to side. The bearing mount should be toward the bulkhead/firewall so you can increase your caster over stock.

Cool thanks for the input. The BBK C/C Plate directions are extremely vague (8 steps) so its been tough trying to figure it out. I have an email into BBK tech but nothing yet after day 2. The J&M instructions seem detailed as well as the Max Motorsports (are super detailed). Its just frustrating to spend this much $ on performance parts and not have them perform to their capabilities due to rookie knowledge at front end suspension install/components.

This is what it looked like

Looks like you need to remove one of the lower spacers. I'm not a huge fan of the type of plates that you have but once properly set up they should work fine for you.

I personally have the UPR plates on my car now and have used them successfully on almost every fox body that I've owned in the past. The Maximum Motorsports plates are nice as well and I had them on my 98' for years with no trouble.
I personally don't like the large bearinging housing on the bbk plates. I like having the ability to change the suspension travel length and strut setup on the UPR plates.
