When I changed my fuel filter, I couldn't believe how flimsy the little white plastic clip is that holds the fuel line to the filter. I'm like, "That doesn't seem like it's doing anything at all and that doesn't leak."
to all that have had an engine fire due to faulty fuel lines, myself included, will tell you to do the repairs properly and stay away from using a standard hose clamp! At least use a fuel line clamp!
I was going to do that but after visiting a local shop, we were able to settle on the idea of cutting the soft line off and flaring the steel lines. Then using fittings go straight to the russell lines.
If those aren't long enough I also got the equipment to run fuel line and fittings rated to 300psi....should do the job. I'll post images when finished.
