@Dave2000GT
Give some credit to the guy for crying out loud, read post #6 and #28, @barnett468 was pretty close to what the problem was and you along with others just argued with him. Barnett468 gave us a good laugh with the "likes" and facebook comment though, lets not go there to win a debate in the future.

I've appreciated all of the suggestions here. I didnt argue with anyone, except for this guy claiming he's had it all figured out, and subsequently putting down everyone including me. He honestly didnt add jack to the discussion, and his logic makes no sense. According to him, since putting the 1.7s on could deduce that shimming was the only possible issue, and the 1.7s already ran fine the very same day already, he shouldve come right out and said it wasnt shimmed properly, instead of making this all about himself and making a dumb suggestion that supposedly would have solved everything. I dont give him any credit because his rationale and attitude are all worthless.

LOL

I did that simply because I thought it would be funny after "fords2live" made an unwarranted, feeble attempt to insult me by saying I was "ignorant" and "closed minded". There is an old saying that goes "Look who's calling the kettle black."

Post 10
I'm not going to sit here and argue with ignorance. You make no sense. I've learned that sometimes people are too closed minded to understand a point proven.

No you didn't.

That is a blatant LIE, I never once made that claim. I suggest you read the posts again carefully and do NOT add any words that are not there.

...and subsequently putting down everyone including me.
This is another blatant LIE. See reply above.

He honestly didnt add jack to the discussion, and his logic makes no sense.
What makes no sense is YOUR inability to understand even the simplest of logic and process of deductive reasoning.

I explained my reason for suggesting this in detail. I suggest you have someone read my posts then explain to you what they mean since your posts prove that you are obviously incapable of it. Also, as I mentioned earlier, it's unintelligent for someone that doesn't know what is causing a problem they have to tell anyone they are wrong.

I look forward to your next thread possibly titled, "My gas gauge is on empty and my car won't start...what's wrong?", lol.

One last swing at this dead horse.....:dead:

The Tech section is here to help people along like @Dave2000GT with his problem. A person comes here and explains the problem the best way he/she can and all we can do is give our BEST GUESS as to what the problem may be. Sometimes it's difficult to type what is going on and what the exact solution may be but I don't think people have been very fair to a person that was just trying to chime in with some advice/opinions on what the solution could be. We are all guessing and sometimes somebody gets it right and somebody guesses wrong. @fords2live stepped on his own ego early on and this thread went down hill quickly afterward.

As unpopular as it might be I actually understand @barnett468 's logic about how to find what your problem is, sometimes you need to start over from the beginning. People are now running to Tech forums all too quickly these days and not learning how to problem solve on their own. How do you think mechanics (backyard or professional) got out of a bind before there was the internet? Process of elimination has served me well in the past. You didn't take Barnett468's advice for re-installing all the 1.7rr, but you re-installed HALF of them and found out what you did wrong in the process yet you still belittle his advice because his "method" seemed wrong but he was half right.

Like I said, we are all guessing at solutions based on your info you give us, our experience and sometimes logic. Take what advice sounds good to you and be respectful or you may not get be getting much help here in the future.
