wow... i know he changed jobs and his wife had some health issues but i didnt expect to see that. i expected to see a post from him saying he was stepping away for awhile

I read the entire other thread, and because of it's age after the fact declined to comment. Since it's been kinda refreshed here, I just gotta say that I've seen that before first hand.
I worked for a guy just like that.
Started out as a robbing Peter to pay Paul set of scenarios, taking one guys deposit to finish the old one in front of him, a bad month or two later led to an out of control spiral, and once drugs entered the picture, outright theft. (From me as well as several others) I quit long before that stage, but was an unwilling participant to the endless excuses and outright lies that he fed to the customers that were wondering what was taking so long w/ their cars.
Everything that the original OP and the three others that ended up claiming was this guys' SOP.
Out of towns, lost phones, family issues, wrong parts, lost in shipments, employee sicknesses, were all repeated to every customer after the original promised deadlines were missed.

Rick has always seemed like an alright kind of guy here, but the similarities are all too familiar.

Spoke to him on the phone a few times but between what went on with fast driver and that thread I can't say I. am surprised In the least

If he wasnt a site sponsor or vendor or whatever he was I don't think the moderators would've been so quick to step up and brow beat the op and the others who thought he was acting unprofessional in the way he was conducting business.
