I havent had this mustang gt for very long so I do not have any history on it. I was driving back from my sons football game and we were on the road for an hour and a half. After about an hour of driving, I noticed my headlights would flicker on and off very quickly when going from low beam to high beam. If I were to go from high beam to low beam it would have a slight dim but then brighten back up. It didnt do this every time though. There was one instance where when going from low to high, the lights flickered on and off probably 5 or 6 times. I started to become concerned that I was going to lose my lights. However, they never shut off totally.

After searching on this forum on the issue, I came across the fog light issue. Is what I am describing the same problem? Two weeks ago, I changed the heater core. I noticed the headlight plug to be all melted.

I also have LED fog lamps instead of the factory. The previous own had installed these. Being that they are LED and I am experiencing the fog light issue, would LED change the situation any seeings that the LED draws less than regular halogen?

I would look at the high/low switch first, They do go bad. Are your led's the blue ones(high output)? I have seen some melted wires with them, and if you were driving for a hour before this happened u might want to follow the wires from the lights back to make shure none are melted. Old wires do break over time. I had had a problem like this but they only flickered when I hit a bump int the road. The pain is finding it.

I do not know anything about these lights. I can tell you that they are blue though. Not sure if you can tell anything by the way these look.
